Forever LaVelle
If Michael Jackson was the King of Pop, our legendary choreographer LaVelle Smith Jr must be the Prince of Movement, a point proven when yet again, working with long-time colleague Frank Gatson, he provided the creative direction for the star-studded tribute concert to Michael in Cardiff earlier this month.
Working with some of the stars of today such as Christina Aguilera, Ne-yo and JLS, LaVelle schooled the talent in the moves of yesteryear to provide an awesome spectacle, watched by a sell out 60,000 fans in the magnificent home of Welsh Rugby, Cardiff’s Millenium Stadium.
The concert was hugely successful and was an apt tribute to late King of Pop. The organisers insisted on keeping the roof closed as you can’t raise the roof if it’s open in the first place!
